Archbishop Zinkula shares an update on the Archdiocese of Dubuque’s Journey in Faith process, following a year of input from parishioners. The archdiocese will be reorganized into 24 pastorates, with St. Mary joining the Waukon Area Pastorate alongside several nearby parishes.
The pastorate will be led by Fr. Joseph Sevcik, with two associate priests. Weekend Masses will be held in Lansing, Monona, and Waukon, while other churches will continue to be used for weekday worship, sacraments, and community activities. An interim Mass schedule will be created for July through January.
He acknowledges that these changes may be difficult but encourages parishioners to move forward with trust, emphasizing that this is a time for renewal, collaboration, and strengthening the Church’s mission.
