Have you ever desired to go on the mission field, step out of your comfort zone and experience the living Christ in a new culture? Here is your opportunity. We are currently putting together a team of 10-12 from this area to go to Peru in February 2027. We will be working with a well-established Catholic orphanage located outside of Lima that is supported by the Diocese of LaCrosse. While in Peru, the mission group will be led by a priest. As part of the Archdiocese of Dubuque's Journey in Faith initiative, we are sharing the interim Mass schedule for the newly formed Oelwein Area Pastorate, effective July 15, 2026 – January 15, 2027.

Archbishop Zinkula shares an update on the Archdiocese of Dubuque’s Journey in Faith process, following a year of input from parishioners. The archdiocese will be reorganized into 24 pastorates, with St. Mary joining the Waukon Area Pastorate alongside several nearby parishes. The pastorate will be led by Fr. Joseph Sevcik, with two associate priests. Weekend Masses will be held in Lansing, Monona, and Waukon, while other churches will continue to be used for weekday worship, sacraments, and community activities. An interim Mass schedule will be created for July through January. He acknowledges that these changes may be difficult but encourages parishioners to move forward with trust, emphasizing that this is a time for renewal, collaboration, and strengthening the Church’s mission.
